My Teaching Philosophy
At the same time, the interdisciplinary character of my work allows me to bridge theoretical traditions and methodological approaches, fostering in students the capacity to think across disciplinary boundaries, draw connections and parallels and situate political phenomena within broader social and historical contexts.
Three pedagogical commitments guide my teaching:
Politics of Knowledge
First, I encourage students to interrogate the politics of knowledge—to question how and why they know what they know. This requires pedagogies of discomfort and involves forms of critical reflection that unsettle familiar assumptions and open space for deeper engagement with responsibility, positionality, and agency.
Democratic Agency
Second, when teaching about injustice, discrimination, and human rights violations, I pair critique with attention to solidarity and kindness, ensuring that critical inquiry does not become a source of despair for the students.
I seek to motivate students to see themselves as active democratic citizens, to know their rights and responsibilities and to pursue forms of work and engagement they are genuinely passionate about.
Justice & Relational Ethics
Finally, I support students in envisioning more just ways of living together, particularly in relation to environmental justice and our responsibilities toward both human and nonhuman life. This involves balancing empathy and care with accountability and respectful dialogue.

Εκπαιδευτικός και ερευνήτρια κόσμημα για το τμήμα μας. Κάθε μάθημα με ενθουσιασμό, με καινοτόμους τρόπους διδασκαλίας, καλεσμένους, quiz, παιχνίδια και debates. Το μάθημα αυτό (Human Rights 2021) πρέπει να είναι στον κορμό των υποχρεωτικών μαθημάτων.
Η κυρία Χριστοδούλου είναι μια εξαιρετική διδάσκουσα, και κυρίως πολύ καλός άνθρωπος. Οι μέθοδοι διδασκαλίας της κατέστησαν ένα ήδη ενδιαφέρον μάθημα, ακόμη πιο ενδιαφέρον.
Πραγματικά το αγαπημένο μου μάθημα αυτό το εξάμηνο. Με την κ. Ελένη ειλικρινά το απόλαυσα. Έχει ιδιαίτερο τρόπο διδασκαλίας και νοιάζεται πραγματικά για τους φοιτητές της.
Η κα Ελένη ήρθε και έδειξε στο υπόλοιπο ακαδημαϊκό προσωπικό τι σημαίνει φοιτητοκεντρική μάθηση! Μάθαμε πολλά περισσότερα για εμάς ως άνθρωποι και φοιτητές μέσω της διδασκαλίας της. Μοναδική και πρωτοποριακή.
Ήταν ένα εξαιρετικά ενδιαφέρον μάθημα, ειδικά ο τρόπος διδασκαλίας της κ. Χριστοδούλου… μας ενδυνάμωσε ώστε να συμμετέχουμε στο μάθημα, αλλά και να νιώθουμε ασφάλεια να εκφραστούμε.
Πρόκειται για ένα πολύ επίκαιρο μάθημα το οποίο η καθηγήτρια έκανε πολύ ενδιαφέρον. Χρησιμοποιούσε διάφορες μεθόδους (βίντεο, δραστηριότητες, Kahoot κ.α.) και παρείχε ανατροφοδότηση. Ήταν πάντα ευγενική, ευδιάθετη και πρόθυμη να βοηθήσει.
Με διαφορά η καλύτερη καθηγήτρια στο πανεπιστήμιο. Διαδραστικό μάθημα, σύγχρονες μέθοδοι, κατανόηση και ενσυναίσθηση. Άνθρωπος αξιόλογος.
Ήταν κάθε μάθημα μια πολύ πλούσια, διδακτική εμπειρία. Το περιβάλλον ήταν ανοικτό και φιλικό και πάντα παρείχε υλικό και υποστήριξη.
